Paid in Full

This sculpture "Paid In Full" is the first sculpture that I have completed from a supply of limestone that was originally part of the Hoisington High School in Hoisington, Kansas. I acquired this stone as a result of a major remodel project that was necessitated by the school, and the entire North half of the town, being hit by a tornado on April 21, 2000. The entire community was devestated by this event. Through all of the destruction it was nothing short of a miracle that no more than two lives were lost .When you take into account that the tornado occured the same nite as Hoisington's prom and that the students were at a facility that just happened to be on the other end of town, that this was the same nite as our own prom here in Great Bend and that several students, including my own son Cody, would pass thru Hoisington on the way to to their prom, and the hundreds of other miracles that took place on that nite, it seemed that this would be a perfect subject for this stone.
